Job Ad: Research Fellow in economics, political science or other quantitative social science with a focus on rigorous impact evaluation

The Peacebuilding Research Program at ISDC is seeking a:

Research Fellow (M/F/D) (full-time or part-time) in economics, political science or other quantitative social science with a focus on rigorous impact evaluation

The successful candidate will:

  • Co-design of rigorous quantitative impact evaluations of peacebuilding programs
  • Collect and analyse micro-level panel data in the context of impact evaluation
  • Co-produce research reports and academic articles
  • Disseminate findings at conferences, learning events and capacity development workshops

Experience and skills:

  • Hold, or be close to completing, a PhD in a relevant field
  • Experience in designing and conducting impact evaluations, particularly in low-income countries and challenging environments
  • Excellent quantitative skills and advanced knowledge of statistical software packages, with a focus on applied micro-econometrics
  • Excellent English communication skills 
  • German and additional language skills (especially Spanish, French or Arabic) is an advantage

Employment for this position will be for 2 years (extendable), starting immediately or at a date to be agreed.
