Dr. Alicia Barriga is a Researcher at ISDC. She currently works on the impact evaluation of a set of interventions conducted by the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund. Alicia obtained her MS and PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Connecticut – USA, where she studied the dynamics of displacement, environmental quality, and tropical diseases.
Alicia’s areas of interest include development and health economics with a particular focus on population groups who face situations of conflict, post-conflict, displacement, and environmental fragility. Her methodological areas of expertise include experiments and quasi-experiments, as well as qualitative methods.
