Research Assistant, Peacebuilding

Drew Danik

Drew is a Research Assistant in the Peacebuilding Research Program at ISDC. His interests focus on security, development, and climate policy, with a regional focus on the East African and MENA regions. Over the course of his studies, Drew has assisted research on post-conflict reconstruction programs, ungoverned areas, and counter-insurgency programs. Professionally, he has assisted with climate advocacy programs with UNICEF, and development work as a Peace Corps volunteer in Zambia.

Drew is currently enrolled in a joint dual-Master’s program between the Hertie School in International Affairs and Syracuse University in Public Administration. He holds a BA in Government and National Security from the University of Texas at Austin where he published his thesis: Two Sides of a COIN: Countering Boko Haram in Nigeria.
