Siwar Hakim is a Researcher at ISDC. She obtained her Masters’ degree in Development Studies from Passau University. Her fields of research are Innovation and Development Economics. Her past research topics have examined the impact of an export promotion program and a municipal development initiative in Tunisia.
Siwar has previously worked as a research assistant at the Center for Evaluation and Development (C4ED) and the Technical University of Berlin. Among other employers are the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the Arab Institute for Human Rights, the Business Development Centre in Jordan, and Crest Point for Consultancy and Development in Turkey.
Siwar is an alumnus of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) International Scholarship and the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) programme and has been awarded grants from the International Institute of Education (IIE), Friedrich Ebert Stiftung foundation (FES), TEDx conferences, Columbia University in the city of New York, and the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation.
