The Call for Papers and Sessions for the 10th Annual ‘Life in Kyrgyzstan’ Conference is now live! This event, hosted in collaboration with our partner organizations, will take place on 10 and 11 October 2024, at the Orion Hotel in Bishkek.
We are pleased to invite the submissions for papers and sessions via email to likconference2024@gmail.com. The deadline for submissions is 30 June, and we expect to be able to send notifications of acceptance on 15 July.
We welcome proposals for individual research papers and panel sessions exploring various aspects of socio-economic and environmental development in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia. Some of the submission topics include (but are not limited to):
- Food security
- Climate change and its impact
- Migration and remittances
- Education
- Public health
- Trade and economic integration
- Gender, children, and intra-household decision making
- Living with Covid-19
