ISDC Founder and Director Tilman Brück appeared in the newest episode of the detektor.fm podcast “Zurück zum Thema”.
In reaction to recent political developments in Germany, the interview questions how pacifist it can be to supply weapons for an active conflict. Tilman makes the argument that the goal of pacifism is not absolute non-violence. Sometimes, it is necessary to employ violence to enforce norms for non-violence.
As such, in extreme cases, supplying arms and pacifism are compatible.
