Dr. Jaafar, Associate Professor and currently Chair of AUB’s Department of Agriculture, leads AgHive (remote sensing & smart irrigation). He specializes in water resources, GIS, and remote sensing for agriculture, water, and food security. His research, published in top journals, involves smart irrigation and remote sensing solutions in agriculture and water. He leads multi-million dollar projects funded by organizations like Google.org, Horizon Europe, and NASA. With over a decade of international experience, Dr. Jaafar also serves as an expert witness and consultant for various international organizations.
