Janina Isabel Steinert is a Research Affiliate at ISDC and a PhD researcher at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention at the University of Oxford (UK), funded by the UK Economic and Social Research Council. She further holds a B.A. degree in Political Sciences from the University of Konstanz (Germany) and an M.Sc. degree in Evidence-based Social Policy from the University of Oxford. Her research focuses on experimental evidence from South Africa examinig the impact of a financial literacy and parenting programme on financial behaviour and financial wellbeing. Her publications appear in different field journals, including the Journal of Development Econmics, World Development, and BMJ Global Health. Janina has also worked as a short-term consultant for Save the Children, the International AIDS Alliance, the World Health Organisation, the SEEP Network, and the Oxford Microfinance Initiative.
