Lina Habbachi

Lina Habbachi is the Communications Officer in ISDC’s Welfare Research Program, supporting the research team with the dissemination of the findings of the Building Local Resilience in Syria (BLRS) project evaluation.

Before joining ISDC, Lina completed a communications internship with GIZ’s Sector Programme Good Financial Governance (SPGFG) in Bonn. She also worked at GIZ Libya, first as a Monitoring and Evaluation Intern, then as a Junior Technical Expert in the Employment Promotion and Economic Development project. The project aimed to help job seekers in Libya find work or launch their own business by offering them technical and entrepreneurial training courses. She then worked as a Junior Communications Specialist in GIZ Libya with the cluster team, where she contributed to the further development of the portfolio in Libya.

Lina holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and International Relations from the Université Supérieure des Sciences Humaines de Tunis, a Master’s degree in Management of Non-Profit organizations from the Tunis Business School and is currently writing her thesis for her second Master’s degree in Development and Governance from the University of Duisburg Essen. 

Her research interests include monitoring and evaluation, impact evaluation, capacity building, development and cooperation. Her first Master’s thesis was on Remote Monitoring and the Challenges of Access to Financing for Entrepreneurs in a fragile country context, with Libya as a case study.
