Timur Cipa is a Researcher in ISDC’s Behavior Research Program. His research interests lie in political economy and development economics, with a particular focus on the intersection of climate change, conflict, and development. At ISDC, Timur’s current work explores how multidimensional crises in Sudan affect livelihoods and how interventions can support affected populations.
Before joining ISDC, Timur worked as a Research Associate with the Development Economics group at Wageningen University in Sierra Leone, where he contributed to the design, implementation, and impact evaluation of interventions related to energy access, health services, and food security. Prior to that, he conducted field research in Kenya, while working with the Development Economics group at ETH Zurich.
Timur holds a master’s degree in Comparative and International Studies from ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich.
