In June, Behavior Research Program Director Wolfgang Stojetz traveled to Palermo to speak as a Senior Expert at ‘“Working & Networking” on Climate Change and Innovation for Sustainable Agrifood Systems’.
Wolfgang discussed compounding climatic and non-climatic challenges in North-east Nigeria, based on the work we are doing for a project funded by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). In it, we assess the resilience impacts of climatic and conflict shocks and of a complex agricultural intervention in Borno State.
The workshop was organized by FAO, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and the Center for Sustainability and Ecological Transition of Palermo University.
After the workshop, Wolfgang also made a stop in Rome to speak with our partners at FAO and IFAD to discuss new projects on vulnerability and resilience in Somalia and Sudan.
We look forward to continuing our work with these important partners.
