2018 Annual Workshop of the German Association for Peace and Conflict Studies (AFK)

Ghassan Baliki presented his working paper Crowd-seeding conflict and peace event data in Syria at the Annual Workshop of the German Association for Peace and Conflict Studies (AFK) Methods Working Group. The conference this year was devoted to papers that explore new qualitative and quantitative data in peace and conflict research. The workshop took place on 13-14 September at the GIGA German Institute of Global and Area Studies, Hamburg.

The World Bank Brown Bag Workshop on Jobs, Gender, and Labor Market Policies in the Kyrgyz Republic: Evidence from a Panel Household Survey

The seminar will take place on 11 May 2017 at The World Bank in Washington DC. It will explore recent research findings on household labor behavior and labor markets developments using evidence from the Life in Kyrgyzstan Study – a unique, multi-topic longitudinal survey of 3000 households in the Kyrgyz Republic conducted between 2010 and 2016.
