Ghassan Baliki presented his working paper Crowd-seeding conflict and peace event data in Syria at the Annual Workshop of the German Association for Peace and Conflict Studies (AFK) Methods Working Group. The conference this year was devoted to papers that explore new qualitative and quantitative data in peace and conflict research. The workshop took place on 13-14 September at the GIGA German Institute of Global and Area Studies, Hamburg.
The aim of the workshop is to assemble senior and junior researchers and practitioners from Germany and abroad to discuss this new and exciting research agenda and to identify common research interests and future research collaborations. The workshop will take place on May 30-31, 2016 in Berlin, Germany, at Humboldt-University.
The third edition of the Lisbon Meeting on Institutions and Political Economy will take place in Lisbon, the 19th and 20th of February 2016.
