Audrey Pereira is a Senior Researcher in the Welfare Research Program with training in development economics and global health. She studies how conflict and crises shape household composition and intrahousehold dynamics, with a focus on gender, youth, and children. Her methodological expertise is in impact evaluations, spanning quantitative and qualitative methods.
At ISDC, she evaluates interventions to empower women and prevent gender-based violence in Syria and assesses the impacts of coordinated drought anticipatory action in Chad. Audrey has previously worked at the UNICEF Evaluation Office, UNICEF Office of Research, and International Food Policy Research Institute. She has also consulted for FAO, IFAD and the World Bank. She has a Master of Science in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and a PhD in Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
