Laura Peitz is a Research Affiliate at ISDC and a PhD Researcher at The Hertie School in Berlin as part of the Berlin Graduate School for Global and Transregional Studies (BGTS). Her research interests include UN peacebuilding efforts, micro-level dynamics of violence, development finance, Multilateral Development Banks and private sector engagement in development.
Among others, Laura has previously worked as a research assistant at the Collaborative Research Center 700 “Governance in Areas of Limited Statehood” at the Freie Universität Berlin and as a consultant for Oxfam America (in collaboration with the Canadian Council for International Co-operation). In addition, she has completed several internships, among others in the German Federal Foreign Office and the Global Public Policy Institute. She holds a Master’s in International Relations from Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt Universität zu Berlin and Universität Potsdam and a Bacherlor’s degree in Politics and Public Administration from Universität Konstanz.
