Luke Hosford

Luke Hosford is a Junior Researcher in the Peacebuilding Research Program at ISDC. He recently completed his dual Master’s degree in International Politics from the University of Konstanz, Germany, and Rutgers University, New Jersey, specialising in Conflict and Security Studies. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Trinity College, Dublin.

His research interests concern how violence persists in post-conflict societies, the effectiveness of measures to address violence, their impact on economic and political outcomes, as well as the economics of armed conflict. His master’s theses dealt with laws concerning violence against women post-conflict, and attitudes towards intimate partner violence post-conflict.

Luke has gained research experience through his role as a Research Assistant at the University of Konstanz and at Rutgers University, working in a wide variety of research roles, and during his time working as an economist in the Irish Government.
