Ram Fares is a Junior Researcher in the Welfare Research Program at ISDC.
His research interests include how individuals and households respond to different types of shocks, as well as intergroup relations and conflict, group identity, and culture. His research during his Master’s has examined how representations of a country’s colonial past relate to contemporary attitudes toward immigrants from former colonies, as well as the relationship between victimhood, threat, and identification among Lebanese religious-political groups.
He has gained further experience as a Teaching assistant at Tilburg University, and as a Research Associate at the Comparative Culturology Lab.
Ram holds a Research MSc in Social Psychology from Tilburg University, the Netherlands, and a BA in Psychology with a minor in SWANA Politics from Haigazian University, Lebanon.
