Sarah is a Junior Researcher in the Behavior Research Program at ISDC. Her research interests focus on how exposure to different forms of violence shapes people’s attitudes and behaviors, and how these can, in turn, influence conflict dynamics. In her master’s thesis, she explored the interplay between slow violence, exemplified by the expansion of illegal settlement structures, political violence, and attitudes in the West Bank.
She has gained research experience through several positions as Research Assistant at the University of Konstanz and two years of research assistance at ISDC. Beyond that, she supports efforts to improve access to higher education in crisis-affected regions through her involvement in the regional groups for the West Bank and previously Afghanistan of Études Sans Frontières – Studieren Ohne Grenzen Deutschland e.V.
Sarah holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and the University of Potsdam, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and Public Administration from the University of Konstanz.
